Dear Members,

I hope you are well and had a successful re-opening in bringing back your clients and customers.

Lockdown may be over but businesses still need support to recover from the impact that the lockdown had on their operations. With government support diminishing as we reach target vaccination rates, thankfully, businesses have other options available to them to qualify for incentives such as wage subsidies for new trainees/apprentices.

To assist with the impact of COVID-19, the federal government is providing support to all employers who engage an Australian Apprentice/Trainee.

The Australian Government has announced the Boosting Apprenticeship Commencement wage subsidy to support employers and Group Training Organisations to take on new apprentices and trainees.

Your business can claim 50% wage subsidy for new trainees, including existing workers for 12 months. The wage subsidy is available for a maximum of $7,000 per quarter per eligible Australian Apprentice/Trainee. In addition, there are financial incentives worth up to $4000 per trainee available to businesses from the government for supporting their staff with on-the-job training.

This is a game-changer for employers as it will help reduce payroll costs as well as provide your staff with government-funded training through flexible on-the-job learning.

At REACH for Training, we are able to offer nationally recognised courses to your staff for a subsidised training fee of $350 under ACT government funding. Training is extremely flexible and is delivered on the job through monthly trainer visits which will support and guide them in completing the qualification. Trainees may also be eligible to receive a completion payment of $300 when they successfully finish the course. Please see below some of the courses that we can deliver to your staff:
